Noyze Akademi was born as an attempt to break away from the sheer monotony that dominated the metal scene. In early 2007, Mahorshi (Rishi), Rhitabrata (RITz) and a common friend started jamming together and trying out new ideas. Soon they realized that their sound had the makings of something big. So the search began for members to complete the circle.

Soon, it became apparent that the band needed a DJ. This was, surprisingly enough, soon solved when Shailpik (nEoNyx) joined the band. The members still marvels at how easy it was when compared to the epic search that had began even earlier – the search for a bass player.

That search was still ongoing when the original drummer and the band parted ways. It was a very tough time for the band, because getting a drummer for making such music wasn’t easy. Thankfully, soon, the band recruited Joydeep (Juggy) and all was looking good once again.

Soon after Juggy joined the band, Rishi requested a close friend to temporarily play the bass for the band till they found someone. The reason it was temporary was because this person, Victor, was an accomplished rhythm guitar player. He accepted and soon after, he, like many others before him, realized that playing bass for Noyze Akademi was as good as playing the guitar for them. But unlike others, he considered it a unique privilege and became a permanent member. And thus an epic search (spanning dozens of bass players) came to a happy ending.

Finally, Sagnik (Shaggy) happened to the band. This melodic soul added his magic touch to the band’s sound, making it the complete experience that it now is. His creative touch lent a melodic soul to the hardcore sound that Noyze Akademi was already famous for.

In something over one year, the band saw a lot of changes in lineup as the pieces of the final puzzle slowly began to fall into place. But the determination and the creativity remains unwavering and unchanged. The experimentations and creations continue to mesmerize metal fans all across the globe, through the varied avenues of the Internet.

Noyze Akademi, is a unique experience. The energetic and frenetic stage presence is only a small side of the emotionally charged, forceful and ever changing soundscape. And yet, throughout all the changes and alternative sounds – the unique signature of the band – strong,alive,melodic and forceful – remains intact. Come what may, world domination is only a step away for this metal outfit.
