I have been lucky enough to have been chosen by Bluetones' front man Mark Morriss to support his solo show at The Dirty South in Lewisham on Saturday 30th Jan. Should be a great night as there's a cracking line up, and I'll be playing some new new tunes from the forthcoming album 'Happy/Sad', which I hope to have completed by the end of February.

Loads of gigs coming up in the new year, especially in the London area, so check my gig listings for details. You also get me at www.myspace.com/owenwilliamsmusic or search Owen Williams on www.last.fm.

Happy New Year

It's been a pretty good month for Owen Williams. I've played some good shows at Camden Barfly and The Ship in Leigh. Just did a session for Southend Radio last night which goes out on July 6th between 8 and 9pm.

I'm playing at the Band Republic night at The Cliffs Pavilion on Thursday June 25th, doors at 7.30pm. Tickets are £4 through me so give me an email at ostar_1981@yahoo.co.uk if you want one.

I'm playing Camden Barfly again on July 31st and I will be back in the studio doing some new material on July 18th.
Introducing Owen Williams...

Hi There

Well my name is Owen and I'm a singer/songwriter from Southend. I'm new to Band Republic so don't really know what I'm doing yet! My music is acoustic based folk but I'm influenced by everything from Bob Dylan and Neil Young, to Nick Cave and 60's soul.

I've just finished my first recorded album called Routine Monsters and CDs are avilable for a fiver. I'm also on the lookout for gigs so if anyone knows of any just let me know.

Now I'm off to work the rest of this site out!
